Appropriately enough, Blue Tux Shoes was conceived after a wedding. While selecting shoes for her bridesmaids, style obsessive Melissa Pins realized only two equally unattractive options existed in the marketplace:  High-end designer bridal shoes, too pricey for the typical bridesmaid who is likely to see them as a one-night affair; or low-cost dyeable varieties so oblivious to fashion trends that they run the risk of ruining a perfectly good marriage.

     Melissa decided that someone had to fill this gap between unnecessary extravagance and necessary evil.  So she set out to create a company and a shoe line that would make it both acceptable and affordable for feet to be seen, and celebrated, at public events again.

     Nine months later, give or take, Blue Tux Shoes was born.  Now special occasions can be special for everyone, everywhere, and in every place, from heel to toe.  Offering high-end styles for dyeable shoes at affordable price points, Blue Tux Shoes is a step ahead of a market that is traditionally a step behind.
